New apple tree in the garden

We removed a very unproductive and modest cherry tree from the garden and in its place (although not directly on top of it to avoid transplant disease we planted a Worcester Pearmain.  I like the note about it not being in the first rank of desert apples but we’re mainly growing for an addition to our juicing stocks.  I want something with flavour and sugar to bolster the sharps we already have growing.  I’ve planted it with plenty of fire ash and as soon as the ground warms up it’ll get a good dose of manure.
